Free!! Acoustic Piano Seeking A Good Home

If I didn’t already own a full-size upright acoustic piano, I would definitely be keeping this one, having it tuned, and enjoying the full rich sound vibrations only one of these classic instruments can provide (other than a grand piano). Actually, you can think of this as a grand piano sitting on end. Seriously! It’s a solid wood case, and a large solid wood sound board sized to hold strings the same length as a 6-foot grand piano. They don’t make them like this anymore!

I hired a professional piano restorer from Amadeus Piano Company in Winchester, VA to give a professional assessment. He found the sound board to be intact and no damage. At a minimum, it seriously needs tuning and you will have an excellent instrument. Below are videos and photos from his visit.

If you are a non-profit organization, it’s free and I will pay the movers to get it to you. If you are a private individual, it’s still free, and I may still pay the movers. This was my grandmother’s piano and I want to know it’s going to a home where it is loved.
